About Me
Welcome to my Web page! I am happy to introduce myself to you, and tell you a little about myself and my practice. I look forward to providing you with excellent comprehensive eye care. I am a native Californian and—except for one year living in Connecticut—I have been in Southern California my entire life.
Biography
I chose optometry as my profession because it would allow me to serve people and take advantage of my scholastic strengths in math and science, and because I would be able to help people see better. I attended the Southern California College of Optometry in Fullerton beginning in the fall of 1982. At the completion of my optometry degree, I decided to extend my education and apply for and participate in a one-year residency in Low Vision/Rehabilitative Optometry at the West Haven Veterans Hospital in Connecticut. After that, I returned to Southern California and was hired at Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center in 1988 (where I also met my wife).
About my practice
My current optometry practice is at the Riverside Medical Center. My colleagues are very friendly and helpful. We are fortunate to be able to consult with primary care providers as well as our colleagues from the ophthalmology department, so we can provide you with the best eye care possible. I have a wonderful medical assistant who you will see when you visit. We are all committed to the team approach to caring for our patients, and we strive to make sure that you receive excellent care. My philosophy of care is to do what is best for my patients' needs. I enjoy learning about my patients backgrounds, and discussing their visual needs for the job, school, home and recreational activities in which they are involved, and ultimately come up with the best solutions for their problems.
How I thrive
Balancing home life and work is difficult at times, but it’s very important to me. I strive to be the best optometrist, husband, and father I can be. I also value being involved with my church and community. I spend my free time playing tennis, using my scroll saw, taking the RV for a spin with my wife and six-year-old Shi-Tsu, and playing my clarinet.
