About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my dedicated colleagues and wonderful patients, and I look forward to working with you and caring for your health.
Biography
I was born in Indonesia. After high school, I decided to come to the United States for my higher education. I acquired a Bachelor of Science degree in respiratory therapy in 1982 at Loma Linda University. After a few years of working as a respiratory therapist, I decided to pursue a medical degree. I graduated from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 1989. I always knew I wanted to be a physician, due in part to my desire to help people and also my willingness to listen to others whenever they had problems. My mother passed away in a hospital in Indonesia. Because of that experience, my quest to know more and improve my practice steers me forward daily.
About my practice
Medicine and its effects on the body have always interested me. The practice of medicine is one way I can help people understand the human body and its responses better. It is a privilege to help my patients live and feel better and be healthier. Updating myself with medical journals and continuing education makes me a better physician, so I stay on top of that. I feel very grateful and privileged to serve my patients. I am happily married to my beautiful wife and have been since 1983. She is a consultant registered dietitian. Together, we have two beautiful boys to boast about. My family and I love to play badminton and take walks.
How I thrive
I firmly believe that there is a time, place, and season for everything. My family is always my first priority. Taking time to exercise and stay healthy is also very important. Spending quiet time with God and socializing with friends is an important part of my life. Being physically, socially, and mentally healthy is very important to my family and to me. Only then can I help my patients be healthier.
