About Me

Hi and welcome! I think you'll find me to be a conscientious, dedicated optometrist with an easygoing personality. Easygoing might not have described me when my kids were teenagers, but we all survived! Joking aside, I love my family and my profession.

Biography

I had the opportunity to live in a number of states growing up. I spent several years in Colorado, and it was there that I decided to become an optometrist, dedicating my professional life to preserving and enhancing the gift of sight. I've been blessed to be in a field that touches people's lives in a meaningful way.

About my practice

I've been at Kaiser Permanente for almost 30 years and serve as chief of the department in San Diego. We have an extraordinary team and emphasize making your experience both memorable and positive. I believe in hard work, attention to detail, and putting you, the member, first.

How I thrive

I love to hike high-altitude mountains and enjoy the tranquility and splendor of creation. I've run a couple half marathons and one full marathon. I think I'm an example of someone who's an average athlete taking on new challenges to stay engaged and healthy. For me, success isn’t about where I finish—it's whether I ever tried.
