About Me
Hello! My name is Dr. Julia Bae, and I have the honor of serving as the medical director for Kaiser Permanente Kern County. Thank you for visiting my Web page. I appreciate your interest in Kaiser Permanente and hope I can partner with you in maximizing your total health – mind, body, and spirit.
Biography
Becoming a physician has been my dream since I was ten years old. I used to carry around a first-aid kit in hopes that someone would fall and I could care for them, or at least put a bandage on their scrape. I have always been fascinated with science and the power of healing, and I have a strong desire to help others by doing all I can to make a positive difference in their lives. Practicing medicine is the perfect combination of these two passions. I believe healing comes not just from prescribing medicine or giving treatments, but also from really listening. All of my patients know that I care and that I am here for them. Medicine is an art, not just a science, and balancing the two provides the kind of experience members are really looking for today. I also strongly believe in providing education as a way of empowering members. Allergy and asthma are about quality of life. Many members accept poor quality of life as if it is all they can ever hope for. I want them to know that they have the right to the highest quality of life possible, and that in partnership with their doctor, they can achieve it.
About my practice
I am an allergist with a special interest in asthma care.
How I thrive
My perfect day is a sunny sky with fluffy clouds, sitting under a shady "non-allergic" tree at the edge of a crystal clear stream with small pebbles at the bottom. My feet are in the stream, and I am reading a book while holding a fishing pole, with a very big box of chocolates next to me. I love spending time in nature with my family and friends. It rejuvenates me so that I can come back to work and give my all to members and the physician group I serve.
