About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page! My name is Dr. Anita Ghazarian, and I’m happy for the opportunity to tell about my practice and the ways in which I can help care for your and your family's vision. I look forward to seeing you and your loved ones in my office!

Biography

I am a Doctor of Optometry with residency training in pediatrics and vision therapy from Southern California College of Optometry at Ketchum University in Fullerton. I obtained my Doctor of Optometry degree from Pacific University in Oregon, and I completed my undergraduate degree at Occidental College in Los Angeles.

About my practice

In addition to seeing regular patients, I help diagnose and treat strabismus and binocular vision (eye teaming) disorders, amblyopia (lazy eye), and oculomotor dysfunction (eye tracking). I have a son with moderate autism, and I am very active with the autism community. Over the years my practice has come to include children and adults with learning, developmental and neurodegenerative disorders. In addition to English, I speak Armenian and Farsi. I truly enjoy collaborating with my Kaiser Permanente colleagues to help our patients reach their maximum potential. Our team approach means we can give you the best care possible. Transforming a life for the better within the confines of my practice is an immeasurable reward.

How I thrive

I have served on the board of Foothill Autism Alliance since 2002. My Thrive motto: “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.” —Benjamin Franklin I love to hike, bike, and go to the gym. I enjoy travel, reading and spending time with friends and family. I love learning about new subjects and new approaches to old problems.
