About Me

Welcome! Thanks for taking the time to visit my Web page. Being comfortable with your physician is important, and hopefully, getting to know me will help do just that. My name is Marine Khojabekyan, but most people call me Dr. K. I am a board certified family medicine physician and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I was born in Armenia back when it was still a part of the Soviet Union. I have been married to my wonderful husband for over 25 years and I am a happy mother of two wonderful children. After the collapse of the Soviet Union, my family and I moved to the United States of America in pursuit of the American Dream. After finishing my residency at the Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA, we decided to move to The Golden State, where I joined the Kaiser Permanente family. While my love for science is what drove me to study medicine, it is happiness of helpings others that made me the doctor I am today.

About my practice

I am a firm believer of healthy living, preventive medicine, and taking a proactive approach to staying healthy. I'll strive to cure your ills, and take care of you when you’re sick. However, I endeavor to educate the patients in my care so that they can understand and contribute towards their own well being, more importantly to take an active involvement in improving their health.

How I thrive

While I love my job, I also love my family, which is why I always spend time with them on the weekends, whether it be a family movie night after the dinner or a hiking trip. We love cooking together and experimenting in kitchen or trying out a new healthiest possible home-cooked meal (sometimes to my children’s chagrin).
