About Me

Welcome to my Web page! I am Dr. Stepanyan, one of the few high-risk obstetrical doctors at Kaiser Permanente’s San Bernardino Medical Center. Because most members see me for complications of pregnancy, I value the partnership and trust that we create in our relationship. These are key to positive outcomes for both mom and baby!

Biography

Even though I live in Orange County, I have my roots in the Inland Empire, and I absolutely love members and partners here in San Bernardino. I find it very rewarding to connect with members in one of the most difficult and vulnerable times of their lives, ensuring that they have the up-to-date information and options for the care during their pregnancy. In addition to English, I speak Spanish, Armenian, and Russian.

About my practice

I love to see members get involved in their care. I believe that doctors, before anything else, are teachers. I take every opportunity to teach members about their conditions and how they can impact their lives both during, and after pregnancy. I recognize that some conditions are very difficult to manage, and not every member needs the same kind of support from my team.

How I thrive

In my free time, I try my best to travel and explore as much of the world as I possibly can. I love learning about various traditions and cultures (and sampling amazing cuisines!). I pride myself in cooking almost every night and passing the family recipes down to my daughter. Most people who know me are surprised to find out that I am a roller-coaster enthusiast (I've even traveled to other countries, just to go on certain roller-coasters).
