About Me
I am originally from California. I did my undergraduate studies at UCLA, medical school at Tulane University in New Orleans, residency in internal medicine at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in the San Francisco Bay Area, GI fellowship at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, and completed a master’s degree in clinical research at the University of Minnesota. Prior to moving to Colorado, I worked at the University of Minnesota on faculty and subsequently at Health Partners and Regions Hospital, where I was involved in the education of fellows, residents and students. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2020.
About my practice
I really enjoy being a gastroenterologist and I have a special interest in treating inflammatory bowel disease, celiac sprue (also known as celiac disease), and colon cancer. I work with my patients to make treatment plans that meet their individual needs and lifestyles. I respect my patients as partners in maintaining their health, and also work as a team with other providers and pharmacists to coordinate my patients’ care. My patients have a better understanding of their health because they can access their medical record, prescription information and lab results at kp.org.
How I thrive
Since moving to Colorado, I have enjoyed exploring the great outdoors and the cultural offerings of this area.
