About Me
Born and raised in Germany to an American mother and German father, I moved to the United States after high school with the goal of becoming a forest ranger. Studying biological sciences in San Luis Obispo, California, plans changed as I discovered my love for medicine. I completed medical training in upstate New York and residency in Tucson, Arizona, where I also practiced for many years. A resident of beautiful Oregon since 2013, I am proud to be part of an organization that believes in preventitive care and provides full spectrum services to their members.
About my practice
My training is in family medicine, which gave me the knowledge to see patients of all ages for both acute and chronic conditions. Prevention of disease, with healthy food choices, alleviating emotional stressors, enough daily rest and activity, is definitely my ideal. My job mainly deals with diagnosing problems and then helping the body to heal an injury or disease. I love the personal interactions, diversity, and challenge of my profession.
How I thrive
I enjoy my work and daily interactions with colleagues and patients. Finding time for hikes in the forest or along the coast is very important in my spare time, not just for physical exercise but also for emotional balance. Travel, cooking and enjoying good food, spending time with family and friends are all essential to me as well.
