About Me

I graduated magna cum laude from Russian Friendship University, the leading medical school in Moscow, and went on to complete my residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Tennessee. I then pursued fellowship training in Oncology and Hematology at Vanderbilt University, completing my subspecialty training in 2005.

I believe that clinical trials are essential to advancing cancer treatment. During my time as an Assistant Professor at the Ingram Cancer Center at Vanderbilt University, I had the privilege of both treating patients and participating in groundbreaking clinical trials. Since joining Kaiser Permanente in January 2012, I have continued to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care in a collaborative and integrated environment.

About my practice

I am dedicated to promoting effective, ethical, and evidence-based cancer and hematologic care. My treatment approach is individualized—tailored to each patient’s clinical needs, goals, and preferences, while grounded in the latest scientific research and national best practices.

My Cancer Subspecialty Focus

My cancer subspecialty focus includes skin cancers such as melanoma, breast cancer, and both benign and malignant blood disorders, with particular emphasis on lymphomas, multiple myeloma, and clotting disorders.

Collaboration on Multidisciplinary Teams

I work closely with multidisciplinary teams composed of experts in medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, surgery, pathology, and other specialties. .  I am a team leader of Malignent Hematology , Classic Hematology and Breast Cancer Tumor baord.  These collaborations enable us to design personalized, evidence-based treatment plans that ensure coordinated, high-quality care across all phases of diagnosis and treatment.

Research & Clinical Trials Involvement

I participate in several National Cancer Institute–supported research networks, including the SWOG Cancer Research Network, National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology, and NRG Oncology. As a sub-investigator on multiple clinical trials, I am committed to advancing cancer care through innovative research and improving patient access to promising new therapies within Kaiser Permanente.

I have continued to contribute to cancer research and was honored to receive a Certificate of Appreciation from the National Cancer Institute for enrolling patients in clinical trials. I am board certified in Internal Medicine, Medical Oncology, and Hematology, and am a proud member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the American Society of Hematology (ASH).

How I thrive

I believe that volunteering fosters personal and professional growth. For more than a decade, I have volunteered at a school dedicated to supporting troubled girls—a cause close to my heart. Outside of medicine, I enjoy cooking, dancing tango, practicing yoga, traveling, and spending time with my 2 dogs.

As a physician, I believe caring for others begins with caring for oneself. I participate in Kaiser Permanente’s Physician Wellness Program and volunteer to teach self-care strategies to my colleagues, helping to promote well-being within our medical community.
