About Me
Hi, and welcome to my Web page. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me and my practice. I look forward to working with you to care for your health.
Biography
I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa, and went to medical school at the famous Groote Schuur Hospital, where the world’s first heart transplant took place. I worked in various hospitals in South Africa for a few years after medical school before moving with my husband to Oxford, England. There I worked in the Emergency Department at Oxford University’s John Radcliffe Hospital. Finding the English weather harsh, we moved to sunny Southern California, where I enjoy the beaches and mountains. I love to travel, particularly to exotic locations, and also back to Africa.
About my practice
I believe that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy, but I am also here to help you when you are sick. My medical assistant and I work together to make sure your visit and follow-up care go well.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in the Kaiser Permanente philosophy of total health and try to live it in my life every day. My family is very important to me and I love spending time with them, especially on the beach, or going for walks.
