About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’ve been practicing with Kaiser Permanente at the West Los Angeles Medical Center for over 30 years!
Biography
I was born and raised in New York City, and graduated college at the University of Pennsylvania. My first exposure to California occurred when I started my internship at the UC San Diego Medical Center.
About my practice
I’ve been practicing general ophthalmology for over 30 years. I have a lot of experience in all aspects of ophthalmology—cataract surgery, external disease, glaucoma, diabetes and its effect on the eye, strabismus, and laser surgery. I estimate that I’ve performed over 5,000 cataract surgeries in my career. I have served as the chief of the Ophthalmology Department here in West Los Angeles more than 15 years. I’m currently focusing all of my energies on my clinical practice, as I’ve relinquished my administrative responsibilities.
How I thrive
Keeping a balance between my work life and my personal life is very important to me. I enjoy a very active lifestyle. I like playing golf and tennis. I’m an avid sports fan, especially baseball—my family has season tickets to the Dodgers. I enjoy being with my friends and taking advantage of the large variety of social activities in the Los Angeles area. My family and I enjoy traveling, and we hope to visit some far-off places in the near future.
