About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician.

Biography

I was born in Lima, Peru. Along with my family, I immigrated to the U.S. as a young boy and grew up in the San Fernando Valley. I attended Los Angeles Valley College where I obtained my associate's degree and obtained a degree in respiratory therapy. I worked at Children's Hospital Los Angeles as a respiratory therapist, mostly in the neonatal intensive care unit. I continued my education and graduated from California State University Northridge with a bachelor's in biology. I then attended medical school at UCLA and completed my residency at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. I have two successful relationships: I'm happily married and I've been with Kaiser Permanente for over 9 years—and I plan to keep both relationships going strong.

About my practice

The Emergency Department here is very busy. We have a great group of doctors waiting and willing to provide the best medical care possible to anyone who walks through our doors. Although the Department can be hectic at times, we always find time to talk to our patients and comfort them. There is nothing more rewarding for me than knowing that I made a real difference in a person's life.

How I thrive

When I am not at work, I like to spend time with my family. I also like to exercise regularly and travel as much as possible. I love reading, computers and astronomy. I am also a die-hard UCLA Bruins fan and like to attend as many of their basketball and football games as time allows.
