About Me

I was born in Korea and adopted by American parents when I was 6 years old. I developed an interest in nursing after high school when I worked in a nursing home as a certified nursing assistant. Then, when I was deployed in Saudi Arabia during Desert Storm, I met some great nurse anesthetists and soon became interested in anesthesia.

About my practice

I provide monitored anesthesia care, general anesthesia, and spinal anesthesia, predominantly to an adult population. I sometimes provide epidurals to laboring moms. I know members come to us anxious about their surgeries, and I hope to help alleviate their anxiety. The best part about working for Kaiser Permanente is the team approach. If I ever need help, I have it.

How I thrive

Now that my kids are grown, I enjoy traveling. On one recent trip, a medical mission to Vietnam, I provided medical care to those who don't otherwise have it. I also enjoy walking my dog daily, hiking, getting together with family and friends, reading, and baking. I want to learn to knit and to study Spanish.
