About Me
Welcome to my Web page and to the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center’s Department of Urology. I’m Dr. Albert Mikhail.
Biography
I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and I’m married to a wonderful interior designer. I finished my undergraduate training in electrical engineering and worked for Caltrans for a number of years, before pursuing a career in medicine. I was fortunate to live in Philadelphia for four years during medical school, and in Chicago for two years during my fellowship training at the University of Chicago.
About my practice
I’m fellowship-trained in minimally invasive and robotic surgery—including both robotic-assisted and pure laparoscopic procedures. I’m currently the director of robotic surgery at the Kaiser Permanente Fontana Medical Center. My scope of practice and surgical expertise are focused on the entire urinary tract and male reproductive system. In addition, I have published more than 20 peer-reviewed journal articles related to minimally invasive surgery. I also serve as the co-chair of our Local Product Council that helps streamline new products and devices into our daily hospital care.
How I thrive
I like outdoor activities, including boating, jet skiing, and snow skiing. At this time in my life, I’ve been inspired by my wife to take up running, and now my goal is to complete at least one marathon each year.
