About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad to have the opportunity to share information about my training and experience. It’s very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
Biography
Family medicine was a calling for me, and I have landed right where I belong, here at Kaiser Permanente in Carlsbad. I served for 10 years in the U.S. Navy as a physician, caring for service members and families alike, and was stationed overseas in Japan for three years. I am passionate about teaching my patients ways to improve their health and training medical students and residents. I truly value the opportunity to care for entire families, starting at birth and continuing on.
About my practice
To me, medicine is a very special opportunity to connect with and help people using my training and experience, but I also feel that health care is a team approach that actively involves my patients. I believe that listening and clear communication are important. I use medical guidelines based on current evidence and research in my goal to provide high-quality care. I push for prevention of disease through healthy lifestyle choices and advocate for the use of Kaiser Permanente’s extensive health education resources.
How I thrive
I firmly believe in Kaiser Permanente’s philosophy of total health and try to live it every day by swimming laps and doing yoga (with my toddler). My husband, two daughters, and my faith bring me ultimate happiness and joy. I enjoy going to the beach, swimming, and relaxing with family and friends.
