About Me
I'm glad to have this opportunity to present my credentials to you and share other information about myself. It's very important that you feel comfortable with your doctor, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.
Biography
I grew up in the deep South in Savannah, Georgia— sometimes you can still hear my Southern drawl—and one day I heard the calling to "go West." I left Atlanta and settled in beautiful San Diego. I thoroughly enjoy all that our San Diego community has to offer and it gives me immense satisfaction to help the community through high-quality health care. I started in health care as an orderly in high school, and now love being a doctor. Every day brings new challenges, which makes this profession so interesting and rewarding.
About my practice
My practice encompasses the full scope of general urology with an emphasis on urinary reconstruction and prosthetics, and enlargement of the prostate. I’m an active clinical researcher in this field, and I’m very active in health policy as I mature in my career. My urology team and I take great satisfaction in providing high-quality care and respect for the San Diego community.
How I thrive
Keeping a balanced life is very important for all of us. I stay fit through regular exercise and diet. I’ve been an avid and intense snowboarder for 25 years, and I take a big trip every year for a week in the mountains. I also mountain bike throughout the year—so you might find me in Mission Trails Regional Park. Get out there!
