About Me

Welcome to my Web page! I am very pleased to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. Working at Kaiser Permanente among many wonderful colleagues and patients makes me feel very lucky, and I look forward to working with you to optimize your health.

Biography

I was born in Iran and moved to England in my teens to prepare for medical school. I have fond memories of both countries. In the early 1990s, I visited Los Angeles and fell in love with the sunny weather. Later I decided to make Southern California my permanent home.

About my practice

I am an internist, geriatrician, and palliativist. I very much enjoy working with the elderly population in different settings. Older adults are kind and patient, have interesting stories to tell, and often leave me with some very valuable life lessons! I feel that healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay healthy. I want to be your partner in health, and it helps me better care for you when you are actively involved in taking care of yourself. Currently I am in the Department of Continuing Care. I care for patients in nursing homes, home hospice and palliative care, and the memory clinic.

How I thrive

I love what I do for a living. Working out in the gym helps keep me fit, and I try to behave myself when it comes to eating healthfully! I am also a great believer in being healthy in mind, body, and spirit, so I practice meditation and positive psychology every day!
