About Me

Originally from eastern Pennsylvania, I studied biomedical engineering at Brown University. I attended Stanford University School of Medicine, where I developed an interest in medical decision-making and studied the effects of mindfulness practice in patients with heart disease. Clinically, I enjoyed the variety and excitement of the emergency department and decided to pursue emergency medicine as my specialty. I joined the Harvard Affiliated Emergency Medicine Residency in Boston, where in addition to learning the practice of emergency medicine, I worked on projects to improve interdisciplinary care for high-risk patients.

About my practice

I believe that the doctor-patient relationship is a partnership. In the emergency department, I strive to understand my patients’ and their families’ goals, and to include them in our decision-making to provide the best patient-centered care possible.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my wife and friends. I have enjoyed Taiko drumming in the past and hope to return to it, and I continue to work on learning Spanish.
