About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m glad that I have this opportunity to introduce my practice philosophy and myself. The opportunity to help children, adolescents, adults, and their families led me to choose psychiatry as a specialty.

Biography

I was born and raised in Iran, where I also completed medical school. I finished my adult psychiatry residency and child and adolescent psychiatry fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta. I did research in attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) at Medical College of Georgia and at UCLA. After my training, I practiced as an attending physician at UCLA. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2009. I enjoy helping parents with communication skills, creative expression, and the creation of positive energy.

About my practice

I am a board-certified psychiatrist, and my professional affiliations include the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. My relationship with members is very important to me. The reasons I chose my career are the possibilities of keeping children emotionally healthy and, when possible, preventing illness. I believe in open communication with members in order to understand their problems and then develop a treatment plan together to reach a resolution and promote wellness. In addition to English, I also speak Farsi.

How I thrive

My family is a priority in my life. I thrive by reading and using mindfulness exercises.
