About Me

I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. I was always interested in science and love talking to people and helping them in times of need, so a career in medicine was a natural progression for me. I love being able to come to work every day and combine my interests while really making a difference in peoples’ lives.

About my practice

As an internal medicine physician, I have the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people with different medical conditions and needs. I treat all of my patients with the utmost respect and humility, and love to make them laugh. I see my patients as individuals, not just a series of medical records or ailments. Each and every one of my patients has a story to tell and I am there to listen and give them the very best care possible. Working within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group, I am fortunate to care for my patients alongside amazing colleagues and staff members. As the clinic chief and section chief of internal medicine at Mapunapuna clinic, it is amazing to see the extraordinary results that all of our health care professionals bring forth through their teamwork, coordination and communication. It is an honor to help lead the delivery of high quality care to our patients.

How I thrive

I am a proud father of five and the grandfather of an adorable little boy and little girl. There is nothing better than spending time with my wife and the rest of my family and creating new memories.
