About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice.
Biography
Originally from Los Angeles, I am a board-certified, fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon who performs all types of surgical and cosmetic dermatology. I have been practicing Mohs surgery (microscopically controlled surgery) at Kaiser Permanente since 2004, and I could not be happier with my practice.
About my practice
My main passion is the surgical treatment of facial skin cancers. My practice in Los Angeles is quite busy but always exciting. I have a team approach to treating facial skin cancers. I often consult and work with my colleagues who specialize in head and neck surgery, plastic surgery, and ophthalmology. I served as Chief of the Dermatology Department for 10 years (2009–2019), and I was also the Program Director of the Kaiser Permanente Dermatology Residency Program for 5 years (2010–2015).
How I thrive
My hobbies include running, weight training, going to Rams games, and listening to music. Most of my free time, though, is now spent with my wife and 2 young children. If you see me, don’t be surprised if I tell you about a recent podcast or Netflix series. We have quite an extensive music collection in our procedure room, and requests are always welcomed and encouraged.
