About Me

I am originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and moved to Portland in 1999 for my optometric education. Prior to becoming an optometrist, I attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Arizona, obtaining a bachelor’s degree in aeronautical science. I am a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the first Gulf War. I chose to practice optometry as I feel that caring for a patient’s eye health and vision can have a direct and positive effect on that patient’s life.

About my practice

My passion for eye care and patient education drives my thoroughness. I have a genuine affection for people and a sincere dedication to preserving their eye health while helping them achieve the best vision possible. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I owned my own practice for 10 years. In addition to providing comprehensive eye health and vision care, I emphasize preventive health care, manage medical eye disease, and specialize in contact lenses with expertise in Keratoconus.

How I thrive

Finding new challenges helps me thrive. I enjoy travel and exploring the culinary cultures of unfamiliar countries with my wife. Also, aviation is a strong interest of mine and provides endless challenge.
