About Me
I appreciate you taking the time to review this Web page, and I hope you’ll find this information helpful. I look forward to meeting you and working together to care for your health.
Biography
I grew up in La Canada, California, which is in Los Angeles County. My father is a physician, and three of his children have followed in his professional footprints. The complexity of the human body and its challenges in the environment caught my interest early on. As my education continued, I looked forward to the challenges that come from working with people and bettering their lives. I’ve spent time serving outside this country, and I do not take for granted the opportunities we have in health care here. I owe much of what I am to my wife and four children. When I’m not working, I enjoy time spent with my family. Our children's activities keep us quite busy.
About my practice
I chose my specialty because I want to model myself after those who mentored me early on, and because I like what I do each day. I enjoy treating problems in otolaryngology–head and neck surgery, which includes the surgical treatment of problems of the ears, nose and sinuses, throat, and soft tissue of the neck. I enjoy treating ear problems and am passionate about microscopic surgery on the ear. I worked to start our cochlear implant team here in San Diego, and enjoy working with the team and our members. Finally, in order to help my members improve their lives in an efficient and comprehensive manner, I make certain they’re a part of the team, and discuss the treatment plan with them in detail.
How I thrive
I believe that healthy living comes from healthy choices. I’ve found that consistency builds habits that result in a well-balanced and fulfilling life. I do not drink caffeine or alcohol, and I don’t smoke. I’m a long-time runner and have been running triathlons for the past 15 years. I love breathing fresh air.
