About Me
I have lived all over, including Salt Lake City, Chicago, San Francisco and Houston. We are happy to now call Denver home. My wife and I decided to put down roots in Denver and recently welcomed our first child! The most rewarding part of my job is empowering my patients and partnering with them to improve their lives. I was honored to be recognized as a 5280 Magazine Top Doctor in 2019.
About my practice
My clinical epilepsy practice encompasses the comprehensive evaluation and management of adults with epilepsy, seizures and events concerning for possible seizures. When I work with patients, I want them to know I listen to them. When I provide explanations or answers, I want my patients to feel informed and empowered. I am the director of the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit at Saint Joseph Hospital, which focuses on characterization of seizures and seizure-like events, pre-surgical evaluation for refractory epilepsy, and monitoring and stabilization of acute seizures. I have expertise in the medical treatment of epilepsy, continuous video EEG interpretation and programming of neurostimulation devices used in the treatment of epilepsy (VNS, RNS). I am also particularly interested in the treatment of patients with refractory epilepsy, the pre-surgical evaluation and treatment of epilepsy, women’s issues and epilepsy, and the evaluation of non-epileptic seizures. I strive to continually acquire new knowledge that will prove helpful to my patients.
How I thrive
When I work, I work hard. When I play, I play hard. I love taking bike rides, hikes or spending time with my family on an adventure.
