About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, and I look forward to helping you if you ever need my care.

Biography

I am originally from the Philippines and was blessed to grow up mostly in Southern California. I enjoy the warm weather and spending time with family and friends. I especially love the ocean and beach, trying out many different restaurants, family-friendly places like Disneyland/Legoland/etc., and just reading and relaxing out in the sun (with SPF45 sunblock of course!).

About my practice

I did my medical school training at UCLA, internship at Harbor UCLA, and anesthesia/pain management residency/fellowship at UC San Francisco. I then did private and academic practice in the South Bay and Orange County for a while. I joined Kaiser Permanente in 2001. I am very honored to work with such a great team here the South Bay Medical Center. I especially enjoy meeting patients, hearing their stories, and learning about their lives and what I can do to help assist them.

How I thrive

Half of my time is spent providing anesthesia in the operating rooms and the other half is spent providing pain management in the Parkview Medical Office Building. I enjoy the balance of being able to work in both types of practice. I also stay very active doing anesthesia on call in the hospital for all breathing/airway-obstruction emergencies, surgical emergencies, and obstetric/maternal child deliveries. My family life has been my major priority over the past 10 years. I enjoy family outings to my children’s school activities and sports events. I also have a large extended family here in the South Bay, so a lot of my free time is learning how to cook quick and easy meals for them, spending time with family, and trying to get my stretching/yoga/exercise whenever possible.
