About Me
Welcome to my Web page. I am a family medicine physician and have practiced for more than 20 years at Fontana Medical Center. In addition to my family medicine practice, I am the program director for the Kaiser Permanente Sports Fellowship Medicine Program and teach in the fellowship and the family medicine residency. I am also active in disaster preparedness for Kaiser Permanente and in my community.
Biography
I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. I graduated from the University of Texas College of Pharmacy in Austin, and Texas Tech Medical School in Lubbock. After completing a residency in family medicine in Amarillo, Texas, and serving on the faculty of the residency for two years, I ventured to Southern California to train in sports medicine. I stayed with the sports medicine program. My wife was born and raised in Southern California (a Kaiser Permanente member since birth). We have two children, also born and raised with Kaiser Permanente. As a family and sports medicine physician, I volunteer as a team physician at a local high school and college.
About my practice
My practice is divided between family medicine and sports medicine. I see individuals of all ages. We have a team of family physicians being trained in sports medicine with whom I work closely and who help in providing care for my members when I am away.
How I thrive
I enjoy cycling, photography, writing, and spending time with my family. Of course my sports medicine functions lead to my attending many athletic events in the area. Working actively in my community helps me to thrive.
