About Me
Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I hope the information provided here helps you get to know me a little better. I have been a Kaiser Permanente physician now for 20 years (as of 2019). I previously worked at the Woodland Hills Medical Center for about 10 years as an ob/gyn generalist and then spent the next 9 years at Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City as an ob/gyn hospitalist. Currently, I work part-time in the ob/gyn clinic seeing all members; however, my area of interest and expertise is women with vulvovaginal disorders and sexual pain disorders or problems. I am interested in nonsurgical approaches to medical problems and am trained as a medical acupuncturist.
Biography
I'm a native Southern Californian; I grew up in Orange County and completed my educational undergraduate, medical school, and residency at UCLA. I love to travel and spend time with my family and friends. I'm a board-certified ob/gyn physician, as well as an American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Certified Sexual Counselor and a Fellow of the International Society for the Study of Vulvovaginal Diseases (ISSVVD). I’ve completed training in both integrative medicine and acupuncture through Helms Medical Institute (2018–2019).
About my practice
My favorite part of my job used to be delivering babies, but now I'm enjoying the long-term relationships with members in the clinic. I also enjoy teaching the ob/gyn students and resident physicians. I have been the UCLA Medical School site director to train students at our site since 2016 and am also an assistant clinical professor at UCLA Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
How I thrive
My husband and I maintain a very active and healthy lifestyle. We love to travel, cook, host visitors, and do yoga.
