About Me

My family is originally from the Philippines, but I was born in Ohio. After several long winters in the Midwest, my family moved to Newnan, Ga., where I essentially grew up. As long as I can remember, I have always wanted to be a physician. My inspiration for choosing a career in medicine came primarily from my mother, who is also a physician. In fact, after completing residency, I practiced internal medicine with my mother for eight years before joining Kaiser Permanente in January 2013.

About my practice

I chose a career in internal medicine because it provides the opportunity to take care of a wide variety of medical problems and also offers the ability to develop lasting long-term relationships with patients. As a physician, I believe in being an educator and partner in deciding which treatments and therapies are best for each individual member. I also believe in disease prevention when possible and encourage all my patients to take advantage of the many opportunities within their health plan to help prevent the development of diseases.

How I thrive

I feel that the best way to thrive in life is to live each day to the fullest in whatever way makes you happy. For me, this balance includes regular exercise like running or jogging. I am an avid sports fan, and my two favorite sports are basketball and soccer, with hockey a close third. I enjoy cooking and particularly enjoy grilling. I also love relaxing to music at night, mainly jazz and blues, while reading about the latest in computers and technology. The greatest joy I have is spending as much time as I can with my family, whether it is at my son's soccer games, school events, church functions or just relaxing at home.
