About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you start to get to know me.

Biography

I was born in India. I completed medical school in India before moving to the United States. I completed my internal medicine residency in Pittsburgh and then moved to California to complete my fellowship in hematology/oncology at UC San Diego. I worked as an assistant professor at UC San Diego until 2006, and then joined Kaiser Permanente.

About my practice

I believe in multidisciplinary management in treating members who have cancer. I constantly confer with multiple specialists to provide the best treatment plan for my members. I feel it’s of the utmost importance to build a trusting relationship with my members by using effective communication, delivering compassionate and competent care, and offering the latest treatment options. I’m a member of two clinical trials groups, Cancer and Leukemia Group B (CALGB) and National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project (NSABP), and I enroll eligible patients in clinical trials. I am physician-in-charge of tumor board at Kaiser Alton Sand Canyon Medical Offices since 2007.

How I thrive

Keeping balance in my life is very important to me. I try to achieve balance between my busy clinic schedule and my family life. I’m a vegetarian and educate my kids about eating a healthy diet every day. I also like music.
