About Me

Hi! Thank you for visiting my Web page. Through this, I hope to let you get to know a little about me and the things that help me thrive.

Biography

I’m a family physician who graduated from the University of Santo Tomas in the Philippines, where I was born and raised. When I was growing up, I always knew that I wanted to become a doctor. I came from a close-knit family and feel very blessed to have supportive parents that inspire me to work hard and do well. In 2004, my husband and I moved to the United States and stayed in Michigan, where we lived for three years. I finished my residency in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2007. Prior to joining Kaiser Permanente, I worked as a lead physician for a nonprofit community clinic in Moreno Valley for over five years. I’m proud to be providing care at Kaiser Permanente and to be working alongside my colleagues as we assist in providing care to our members.

About my practice

Medicine, as a career, has helped me to connect with people by way of listening. I enjoy my work as a physician because of the many opportunities I have to make a positive impact on the lives of others. I treat my patients like my own family. Being away from my family taught me to value my relationship with my patients. Healthy living and preventive care are the best ways to stay well, but I’m also here to help whenever you get sick. I strongly believe in the importance of empowering my patients by educating them and getting them involved in their own health care.

How I thrive

I believe in the balance of work and play. Retail therapy is what I enjoy best! During my free time, I catch up on the latest news and chat for hours with my parents and siblings. My husband and I also love meeting up with friends and enjoy traveling together.
