About Me
I was born and raised in Michigan by parents who immigrated there from South India. My family now lives here in Oregon. Watching both my parents, a respiratory therapist and a nurse led me to my love of medicine. I trained at Michigan State College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency in internal medicine at Legacy Good Samaritan and Emanuel here in Portland. After a chief resident year, I joined the Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center Hospitalist group and it's been a great fit.
About my practice
I feel very fortunate to work as a physician. I am able to share some very intense experiences with my patient's and their families and am privileged to earn their trust and share their journeys. In addition, I'm able to work with a wonderful group of therapists, nurses, support staff and fellow physicians. I can't imagine doing anything else with this level of fulfillment.
How I thrive
Finding balance in life is an ongoing pursuit. After the arrival of my son, priorities became a very different thing. He has helped me to see what is really important and it's quality, not quantity. Finding time to balance what's important is how I thrive and it's an ever changing journey.
