About Me

Hi! I’m happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself. I’m an obstetrician and gynecologist (Ob/Gyn) who has been with Kaiser Permanente since 2007. I also have the honor of serving as an administrator for our diverse physician group as assistant area medical director. I look forward to providing you with high-quality health care.

Biography

I was born and raised in California, and while I briefly considered venturing beyond our golden hills, my experiences here have convinced me that California is my permanent home. I spent my undergraduate years studying at UC Berkeley. I traveled through Costa Rica and South America for nearly a year at the end of college. I completed both medical school and my residency in Ob/Gyn at UC Irvine. During my residency, I had the privilege to work with true leaders in my field and have learned state-of-the-art care through my training. Currently, I live in Orange County with my wife and children.

About my practice

As a board-certified Ob/Gyn physician, I’m able to provide comprehensive women’s health services, from preconception counseling to normal and complicated pregnancy monitoring, as well as care during the menopausal years. I’m passionate about the advances being made in minimally invasive surgical techniques, and I’m happy to extend these services to my members. As one of our hospital-based physicians, I also get the opportunity to help my hospitalized members through their times of greatest need. Your optimal health is my goal, and I look forward to working with you to achieve it.

How I thrive

Staying well is easier when you nurture healthy living habits. Growing up, I spent many summers in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and I credit many of my healthy habits to the recreation I enjoyed as a child. Cross-country running through the forests, and bike treks up and down the western United States are just a couple of ways I developed a taste for outdoor fitness and fun. In medical school, I placed 35th in my age group in the Los Angeles Marathon. Today, I love nothing more than running with my dog in some of the majestic open spaces in Orange County, or chasing after my children and trying to match their relentless energy.
