About Me

Hello, my name is Dr. Singh. I’m a specialist in gastroenterology in Kaiser Permanente’s Lancaster Medical Offices. My specialty is focused on conditions of the digestive system, including stomach and intestinal problems as well as any issues with the liver and pancreas.

Biography

I was born in a small village in India and grew up as part of a family of seven children. We all live in America today. I knew from an early age that I wanted to be a doctor. I studied hard and was accepted at the Government Medical College in Patiala, where I earned my medical degree. At the urging of my eldest brother, an engineer living in California, I immigrated to the United States. For several years, I conducted medical research. I then attended the State University of New York (SUNY) in Brooklyn for my internship, residency, and fellowship. After eight years at SUNY, I returned to sunny California and went to work with Kaiser Permanente in 1997. I enjoy living in the Antelope Valley with my wife and three daughters.

About my practice

Thanks to Kaiser Permanente’s outstanding electronic health records system, I can really stay connected to my patients and focus on getting to know the patient and understanding his or her concerns. I make a point of explaining to my patients what I believe is the medical issue, the course of action I recommend, and the things the patient should do in order to help the process. Often, this involves certain lifestyle changes such as healthier eating, exercising regularly, or reducing stress factors. Only by working together can the desired results be successfully achieved.

How I thrive

Outside of my busy practice, I enjoy spending time with my immediate and extended family. We like to travel, and I have fun taking photographs of our adventures to preserve the memories. I do my best to exercise regularly and eat a balanced diet.
