About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and our members, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I chose to become a physician specializing in my field because I’ve always had a need to understand the structure and function of the body, how this changes with age or injury, and how we can help ourselves and others with these issues.

About my practice

I am a physiatrist, caring for people with physically disabling medical problems. Most of the people I see have impairments of the nerves, muscles, and/or joints, with associated pain. I share our busy physical medicine and rehabilitation practice with a small group of dedicated physiatrists. I have enjoyed taking care of Kaiser Permanente members in San Diego since 1989.

How I thrive

I try to maintain a healthy balance in my life of work, play, and rest. I enjoy socializing with friends and family both near and far. I enjoy listening to live music and playing music. Exercising helps me stay balanced, including leisure bicycling, swimming, walking, and yoga-type stretching.
