About Me

Welcome. I am excited to have chosen emergency medicine as my medical career since 1990, and I am blessed with the opportunity to practice my chosen field at the Kaiser Permanente Baldwin Park Medical Center. I look forward to taking care of you and many others from the local community.

Biography

I grew-up in Southern California and have always wanted to be a physician. After college, I went to Northwestern University Medical School, where I also completed my emergency medicine residency. I returned to California after residency, and then joined Kaiser Permanente in 1995. On my off days, I enjoy sports activities and watching sports on TV. I also enjoy spending time with family.

About my practice

Working in an ER is a very different experience compared to most other specialties. It is both challenging and exciting. On any given day, I am asked to evaluate, diagnose, and treat multiple patients at the same time. It is a privileged to work with the support of the nursing staff, radiology and laboratory techs, and other ancillary staff members. I am honored when members communicate their concerns and do my best to explain the diagnosis and to share medical knowledge. I want every visit to the ER to be as good an experience as possible under the circumstances.

How I thrive

I believe in athletic activity to stay healthy and to balance work. I like basketball, going to the gym, and cycling. I also take time off to spend with family.
