About Me
Hi, my nickname is Kate. I’m glad to have the opportunity to share information about myself so that you are able to get to know me better. It is very important that you feel comfortable with your personal physician, and I hope this page will help you learn more about me.
Biography
I am a Southern California native, and I’m happy to have also completed my medical training in sunny California. I grew up in Redlands. My parents still live in that area as well as my grandmother, who is alive and well and over 100 years old! I went to UCLA for my undergraduate studies and completed medical school at UC Irvine. I moved to San Diego for my residency in obstetrics and gynecology at UC San Diego, and I’m happy to now call San Diego my home.
About my practice
I am passionate about women’s health and am here to help ensure that you stay healthy! Preventive care and healthy living are the best ways to achieve this goal; however, I am committed to providing the best in evaluation and management when illness does arise. Medicine as a career is a very special opportunity to connect to and help people in a meaningful way, utilizing my medical skills and knowledge but also listening and responding to what patients need. I strive each day to provide high-quality and personalized care for every patient.
How I thrive
Keeping balance in my life and staying active are very important to me. During the week, I enjoy going to the gym and cooking healthy dinners at home. On the weekends I enjoy spending time outside, either running, biking, hiking, or going for a stroll on the beach. I enjoy sampling the San Diego culinary scene, trying different restaurants around town—old and new. Every few months I escape down to my beach house in Mexico and am happy to relax on the beach. I’m also an avid traveler. I make a trip abroad one or two times per year. Recent travel destinations have included India, Thailand, Cambodia, and Tanzania, where I climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro.
