About Me
I was born and raised in Atlanta, and I absolutely love living here. I received my undergraduate degree at Elon University in North Carolina, where I majored in corporate communications. After I graduated, I realized that the corporate world was not for me and what I really wanted to do was help people and work with kids. I chose to follow my passion and received my master's degree in social work at Kennesaw State University.
About my practice
I work as an individual therapist with children, adolescents and teens in our Behavioral Health Department. I utilize a play therapy model with children and feel that using creative interventions with kids is important in treatment. I have been trained in trauma-focused cognitive behavior therapy (TF-CBT) and have a background in working with victims of trauma.
How I thrive
My favorite thing to do when I am not at work is to go to Atlanta Hawks games. I also enjoy movies, exercise, sports and going to the lake.
