About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I’m happy to have this chance to introduce myself and tell you about my practice. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente, where I have a good working environment with my wonderful colleagues and other dedicated staff. They will support me in working with you to care for your health.


I was born and attended school in Burma (now Myanmar), which is well known as the Land of Pagodas. I was very ill one time when I was young, and I was very fortunate to have a kind and caring family physician who made house calls and made me well again. She asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up, and I told her that I would like to be a kind and caring physician like her so I could help sick people get well again. I was really glad and extremely fortunate to have the chance to fulfill that dream. I am happy to do my best to help anyone who comes to me with any specific concern or who just wants to maintain good health.

About my practice

I work at the Montebello and Pasadena Medical Offices in the San Gabriel Valley, where there is a large Chinese population — I am fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese (including the Toisan dialect). I am one of several physicians who run the bilingual Chinese module. Here we help our English-speaking and non-English-speaking Chinese members who feel most comfortable when they can communicate in their native languages. I am also fluent in Burmese, so I can help those who come from the same birthplace as I did. I am a good listener, as I understand very well how important it is to hear and understand members’ concerns. I try to help heal the whole person, which means both physically and mentally. I want members to feel good after seeing me.

How I thrive

I believe that exercise is medicine, and I would even go one big step further and say that exercise is the longevity medicine that people have been seeking throughout history! It can prevent or help control many medical problems with no side effects, and the benefit is a longer, healthier life with less medical intervention. My wife and I keep ourselves fit with several hours a week of ballroom and line dancing. The dance floor is our gym! We also use exercise equipment to work out. Meditation helps relax me when I’m stressed. My hobbies include music (listening, singing, learning to play the guitar and harmonica), photography, reading, and traveling with my family.
