About Me

I was born in New Hampshire but traveled to Colorado first for AmeriCorps NCCC in 1998 and fell in love with the state. I came back for graduate school at Naropa University in Boulder. I've since lived in Colorado for over 10 years, and love showing my son the beautiful mountains and rivers through hiking and camping.

About my practice

Populations: children, teens, families, group. Specialties: ADD/ADHD, Anxiety, Bipolar, Depression, Grief and Loss, Mood Disorders, OCD, Parenting, PTSD, Postpartum Depression, Transgender, and Trauma. Interventions: CBT and DBT. I greatly enjoy working with young children and teens. As a former Early Childhood Mental Health Specialist, and as a parent, I understand a lot of the behaviors of early childhood. I enjoy supporting parents navigate the childhood years, from toddlers to teens and everything in between. I practice with warmth, compassion and unconditional positive regard for you and your struggles and challenges. I want to help you become your best self. I greatly enjoy supporting adolescents as they navigate the challenges that come from learning how to separate from their parents and find their true sense of self. Part of my passion comes out in supporting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. I work as a team with our specialists, pharmacists and others to coordinate my patients' care. My goal is to provide the most appropriate care for my patients, so they aren't spending extra time or money to get the care they deserve.

How I thrive

Within the past three years I've become a runner. I never thought I would call myself that, but after having completed three half marathons, and training for even more, I guess I can say I'm a runner. I greatly enjoy reading, Harry Potter being my all-time favorite, but I find so many other books enjoyable., and I read a lot of YA. Spending time outside, hiking with my son and my husband helps me feel rejuvenated.
