About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I am happy to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as a physician at Kaiser Permanente. I am an ob-gyn specialist and have practiced for over 30 years at Kaiser Permanente in San Diego. I feel very fortunate to work at Kaiser Permanente because of my wonderful colleagues and patients. I look forward to working with you in staying healthy and enjoying life to its fullest.

Biography

I was born in the small town of Calexico and have lived my entire life in Southern California. I am the middle child with three older siblings and three younger. My parents did not have the opportunity to go to school but certainly knew the importance of an education. Therefore, they made sure their children took full advantage of their opportunities. I was lucky to have an older brother who led the way by becoming a physician and showing me that a career in medicine was a dream worth pursuing. I now have two boys of my own. Both are very good soccer players and committed to a good education. As a family, we enjoy spending time on the beach during the summer and snowboarding and skiing during the winter.

About my practice

I see my role as physician as one of partnering with my patients and focusing on helping them stay healthy and to enjoy life. As an ob-gyn specialist, I can see a patient for a single visit or for ongoing care. My practice is such that I spend a couple days in the office, one day in the operating room, and two to three days working at the hospital.

How I thrive

I feel that a balanced lifestyle is very important to staying healthy. This includes not only work but also spending time with family. My family and I enjoy snorkeling and spending time on the beach. In winter, we like heading out to the snow and going snowboarding. My wife and I enjoy picking up a good book, finding a comfortable spot, and reading. We also enjoy the time we spend with our friends and our extended family.
