About Me

Welcome! Thank you for taking the time to learn more about me. I believe a strong relationship with your physician is key to attaining success in any medical treatment. If your particular troubles pertain to the kidneys, then you've taken a step in the right direction!

Biography

I am originally from Southern California. I graduated from USC with degrees in English and biological sciences. I received my medical degree from Keck School of Medicine at USC. I completed my residency in San Diego at Scripps and my fellowship in nephrology in Sacramento at UC Davis. I chose to become a physician because I wanted a profession that would challenge me on a daily basis and allow me to enrich other people's lives. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to hold people's confidence and guide them at their most vulnerable time.

About my practice

I am board certified in nephrology (kidney disease). I specialize in treating people with problems related to their kidneys, including but not limited to electrolyte or water imbalance, hypertension, and a variety of inflammatory disorders associated with the kidney. When a person's kidneys no longer work, I also assist him or her in evaluating different ways of replacing the lost function, including dialysis and transplantation. Our team's philosophy is to provide you with high-quality care and service. We make every effort to keep you well informed and updated so critical decisions can be made together.

How I thrive

I maintain balance by enjoying time with my family, which allows me to put life in perspective. I am a full-time dad and spend most of my free time playing with my two young daughters, which alleviates stress. Despite a busy schedule, I also strive to eat my daily allotment of fruits and vegetables and walk daily, since I know I can't help others unless I am healthy myself.
