About Me

Thank you for visiting my Web page. I’m glad to have the chance to introduce myself, and I look forward to working with you to care for your health.

Biography

I am a third-generation Californian. I completed my undergraduate studies at USC in the psychobiology honors program with a certificate in bioethics. I received my medical degree from USC’s Keck School of Medicine in 1992. My orthopedic surgery residency was completed at USC and included training at Los Angeles County+USC Medical Center, USC University Hospital, Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles, Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic, Orthopaedic Hospital (now called the Orthopedic Institute for Children), and Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. I am a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

About my practice

I have been practicing since 1997 at Kaiser Permanente’s Woodland Hills Medical Center, specializing in arthritis of the hip and knee, including partial knee replacement. I am no longer taking on new surgical patients because I am teaching at the Kaiser Permanente School of Medicine in Pasadena, as well as serving as the Assistant Area Medical Director for Surgical Services.

How I thrive

I thrive by hiking, waterskiing, and kayaking, as well as reading (about science and history) and spending time with my wife and kids.
