About Me
I was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii. Growing up, my mother inspired me to do my best and never give up, while my father always wanted me to go into medicine. I owe it to my parents for really being the support I needed to lead me to where I am today.
About my practice
As a child, my pediatrician was wonderful. Unlike most children, I was not scared of going to the doctor. I decided that when I became a doctor, I would strive to have the same effect on my patients. I chose to specialize in pediatrics because I think kids are the greatest. Their innocence and smiles always keep me coming back. Plus, kids really do say the funniest things! I love the camaraderie within the Hawaii Permanente Medical Group and try to extend the welcoming and familial atmosphere towards all my patients. I love “talking story” with them and finding out how they are doing in school as well as what they are doing with friends. My philosophy of care is to encourage healthy eating habits and maintain an active lifestyle. I am also strong advocate for vaccinations and discuss this when getting acquainted with my patient’s families. I believe that vaccines prevent infectious diseases, are among medicines most important advances and are vital to protect our keiki.
How I thrive
During my time off, I enjoy relaxing with a good book. I also love crafting and experimenting with my creativity.
