About Me

Hello, and welcome to my Web page. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to introduce myself and to share some thoughts about my clinic. My number one goal is to provide your child and family with high-quality health care in an open, comfortable environment. I think it is essential that parents feel they can trust and communicate with their doctor. I hope this page will help you get to know me.

Biography

I grew up in New York wanting to be a doctor since the age of six. I can still remember my own pediatrician and how I wanted to just like her—caring, personable, and a great listener. After graduating from the University of Miami School of Medicine, I joined the Navy as a pediatrician. While in the Navy, I had the opportunity to travel around the globe and experience different cultures. During my Navy career, I trained in Bethesda, MD and Washington, D.C. to become a pediatric hematologist and oncologist. I retired from the Navy as a captain after 21 years of service.

About my practice

As a pediatric hematologist and oncologist, I believe the entire family is a part of our care team. I recognize that the children I care for can have a disease which disrupts the family's core. My former experiences have helped shape my approach to providing care and making decisions inclusive with parents. I feel honored to be taking care of your children and will strive to treat them with the best medicine possible every day.

How I thrive

My two children are my pride and joy! We love to travel and to experience new cultures. We also do many outdoor activities together like hiking, camping, biking, and going to football games. I believe in balance helps us to stay happy and healthy. I am so pleased to be a part of the Kaiser Permanente family and to be working with my colleagues and members who also believe in this approach to life. Thrive!
