About Me

Welcome to my Web page. I'm happy to have this chance to introduce myself to you and tell you about my work as an internal medicine physician here at Kaiser Permanente.

Biography

I started out in the Autonomous University of Baja California (UABC) in Tijuana, and after six years of medical school, I did four years of internal medicine specialty in Obregon Sonora, Mexico, south of Arizona. I practiced for five years as an internist in Tijuana, worked at the Social Security Hospital, where I also held a teaching position, had my private practice, and taught endocrinology at the university. After that I repeated my internal medicine specialty in El Paso, Texas at Texas Tech University. I was there for three years and finally fulfilled my goal of practicing internal medicine here at Kaiser Permanente Medical Center San Diego.

About my practice

I've been practicing here since 2008. I have a multicultural practice. I'm not only bilingual in English and Spanish, but consider myself bicultural, because of the nature of my training. I'm very aware of the medical problems in a border town. I have a very down-to-earth practice, with good communication and cooperation with my patients. I believe in prevention of diseases but also appropriate treatment of already existing diseases to prevent complications.

How I thrive

I like to thrive by working out every day running, hiking, practicing martial arts, or doing exercise videos at home. I firmly believe that staying active helps you remain as young as possible!
