About Me

Hi, welcome to my Web page. I am happy to have the opportunity to introduce myself. I hope the following information is informative and useful.

Biography

I was born in the southern state of Jalisco, Mexico. My family came to California when I was 12 years old. My family’s strong work ethic and my desire to help people guided me to a career in medicine. I graduated with honors from UC Santa Barbara with a degree in biological sciences, and I earned my medical degree from UC Davis. I am fully bilingual in Spanish and English, and I enjoy using my language skills.

About my practice

I really enjoy the cultural diversity that California has to offer. I am proud to be the diversity council chair for my medical center. I strive to provide the best care possible to a very diverse community. I enjoy working with patients of all age groups and ethnicities. As my own kids get older, I find that I really enjoy helping adolescents understand themselves and their health care needs. I strive to keep an open mind and to establish rapport and good communication with my patients.

How I thrive

I married my medical school sweetheart. She is also a family physician, and we have four children. I love the outdoors and have enjoyed coaching youth soccer for the last eight years. On any given weekend, you can find me on the soccer field or landscaping my garden. I love to travel around the world and appreciate any tips about exciting travel destinations.
