About Me

I was raised bi-coastally in Virginia and California. When I completed my residency in primary care internal medicine and married a woman from Portland, we chose to live here and raise our family. I joined Northwest Permanente, P.C. in 1986. For my first 15 years, I enjoyed working in an outpatient practice at East Interstate Medical Office, and did my inpatient work at Bess Kaiser Hospital. Over the last ten, years I have had diverse responsibilities within Northwest Permanente, P.C. and currently my time is spent in working as a hospital-based internist at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center.

About my practice

My primary clinical work is now managing hospitalized patients at Kaiser Sunnyside Medical Center.

How I thrive

Outside of work I endeavor to keep physically well by jogging, ever more slowly, on nice days with friends and neighbors. I also tempt fate 1-2 times a week playing basketball or chasing a small white ball (around a golf course).
