About Me

I am a board-certified physician in medical oncology and hematology. I practice at Kaiser Permanente’s Bellflower Medical Center, where I work alongside a team of compassionate and skilled professionals. My greatest priority is helping you feel supported and informed as we navigate your care together.

Biography

I’ve lived in many places, but since 2003, Southern California has been home. Before joining Kaiser Permanente, I served as an assistant clinical professor and associate fellowship program director at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, where I helped train future hematology-oncology physicians.

About my practice

My Cancer Subspecialty

While I treat a wide range of cancers, I have special interest in gynecologic oncology, which includes ovarian, endometrial (uterine), cervical, vulvar, and vaginal cancers. I’m dedicated to providing personalized care that is based on evidence and current research, with a focus on both the latest treatments and your overall well-being.

National Expertise on Multidisciplinary Teams

Cancer care works best when it’s a team effort. I collaborate closely with surgeons, radiation oncologists, pathologists, radiologists, and genetic counselors to ensure that every angle of your diagnosis and treatment is thoughtfully considered.

I serve as the medical oncology lead for the Southern California Regional Gynecologic Oncology Sub-Specialty Committee, where I help evaluate and apply new research findings to improve cancer care across our region. I provide expertise to our Gynecologic Tumor Board, in which a multidisciplinary group of specialists come together to discuss complex cases and develop tailored treatment plans. I also serve on the Society of Gynecologic Oncology Clinical Practice Committee and Education Committee.

Research and Clinical Trials

I am passionate about advancing cancer care through research. I’m a sub-investigator with the National Cancer Institute’s Community Oncology Research Program and a member of several national research groups, including:

  • SWOG Cancer Research Network
  • NSABP (National Surgical Adjuvant Breast and Bowel Project), Alliance, and NRG Oncology
  • Alliance for Clinical Trials in Oncology
  • NRG Oncology

Participating in clinical trials allows us to offer promising new therapies to members, often before they become widely available.

How I thrive

Outside of work, I believe in the importance of whole-person health. I love staying active — I run and weight-train several days a week and have completed marathons and half-marathons. I also enjoy hiking, reading, and traveling.

Taking care of your health is a journey, and I'm here to walk that path with you — with compassion, clarity, and commitment.
