About Me

Hi, I’m Dr. Michael Hakakha, the other half of the brothers Hakakha who practice at Kaiser Permanente’s Ob/Gyn Department in Lancaster. I also happen to be the chief of obstetrics and gynecology locally, so you may not always find me in the office. At times, administrative duties call. I hope you understand. I believe you will find our group to be a good humored and caring cadre of physicians, nurses, and technicians who are fully dedicated to your health and well-being.

I attended medical school at the University of Pittsburg in Pennsylvania and served my internship and residency at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles. In 2000, my brother suggested that I join him in his Kaiser Permanente practice in the Antelope Valley. Today, Kaiser Permanente provides some of the best medicine available with the convenience of one-stop shopping. The labs are here, the pharmacy is here, and we have a great working relationship with the Antelope Valley Hospital.

About my practice

First off, let me explain that I don’t mince words. If you are overweight, diabetic, or have hypertension, you are likely to have it addressed by me. That’s because these chronic conditions have a real impact on your overall well-being. But you’ll also find I’ll work with you to find better ways to manage and overcome these issues.

How I thrive

I am fortunate to have found a great balance in my life. Kaiser Permanente provides me with interesting and challenging work while my family fills me with great personal pride and satisfaction. I love spending time with my wife and children. I support my kids’ school and sports activities and do my best to exercise and eat healthy meals myself.
